Privacy Policy

In ShakeBee Project ("shakebee") we have knows about your need for secret communication and take your privacy seriously. We do, too. We are committed to giving you transparency of our privacy practices and control over your data in connection with shakebee’s Service (as defined in shakebee's Terms of Service).

This Privacy Policy covers shakebee's treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") and other data that shakebee gathers when you are accessing shakebee's Service. The Service is not available to individuals who are younger than 13 years old.

What Personal Information Does Shakebee Collect?

• Personal Information. Information such as your telephone number, legal guardian information (if you are not at least 14 year old), ShakeBee user name, and other personally identifiable information that you provide us with or that you choose to include in any ShakeBee profile or account may be collected by us. We may also collect third party telephone numbers in your phone address book, as well as mobile device identification numbers such as IMEI, when you downlolad or use ShakeBee App (collectively “Personal Information”). 
  You may be asked to provide us with certain Personal Information when you register with the Service and at other times. You are not required to provide us with this information, as it is optional. However, you may be prevented from using KakaoTalk or certain features of the Services if certain information is not provided, such as your device identification number and third party telephone numbers.
• Usage Data. We may also collect certain usage information such as time of visit, duration of use, Email Address and unauthorized usage records ("Usage Data"). 
• Messages. When you send or receive messages using ShakeBee, we process and store your messages, log and contact data, and other related information ("Message Data").

How is My Information Used?

Personal Information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. Shakebee may share your Personal Information only as described below.

Generally, we use Personal Information and Message Data for internal purposes only, such as to provide you with the Service, to notify you of new products or Services, and to otherwise communicate with you. We will not disclose Personal Information or Message Data to third parties without your consent, except as explained in this Privacy Policy.
By collecting and using your telephone number and third party telephone numbers in your phone address book, KakaoTalk automatically finds and registers people in your phone address book to your “Friends” or “Friends?” whom you can directly communicate with KakaoTalk service. When you launch KakaoTalk, it automatically collects your device identification number such as IMEI and uses it as your own account information combined with your telephone number you have provided us with. This is to verify and prevent unauthorized use of your account, although ShakeBee is not liable for the losses due to such unauthorized use. 

Information which is available for viewing by other ShakeBee users include your user status message, your ShakeBee user name, your ShakeBee ID, your profile photos and other personally-identifiable information that you choose to include in any ShakeBee profile or ShakeBee account.

Service Providers. From time to time, we may establish business relationships with third parties who have confirmed that their privacy practices are consistent with ours ("Service Providers"). For example, we may contract with Service Providers to provide certain services, such as hosting and maintenance, customer relationship management, data storage and management, and direct marketing campaigns. We provide our Service Providers with only the information necessary for them to perform these services on our behalf. Each Service Provider must agree to use reasonable security procedures and practices, appropriate to the nature of the information involved, in order to protect your Personal Information and Message Data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Service Providers are prohibited from using Personal Information or Message Data other than as specified by ShakeBee.

Your Personal Information. In order to improve the quality of our service we entrust your Personal Information to a secure third party partner as below. We maintain our Privacy Policy in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations to protect your Personal Information securely.

Your Personal Information may be kept until the fiduciary contract expires or until you decide to withdraw your membership.

Standard Analytics Information. We may use, and disclose to third parties, certain Usage Data regarding the Service. However, such information will not contain information which will be used to identify you individually.

Other Transfers. We may share Personal Information, Usage Data and Message Data with businesses controlling, controlled by, or under common control with ShakeBee. If ShakeBee is merged, acquired, or sold, or in the event of a transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer Personal Information, Usage Data and Message Data in connection with such transaction. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if, in our discretion, the new entity plans to handle your information in a way that differs materially from this Privacy Policy.

Shakebee Features

The shakebee service also has the following features that may allow you to communicate with others. For each of these features, the information available to friends and others, our default user settings, and how to alter the default settings, is available on the Privacy. Please remember that if you choose to provide personal information using certain features of the Service, that information may be available to the partner you are communicating with only.

• Push notifications are delivered even when app is offline.
• No International charges (no hidden costs).
• Hidden vibration for receiving messages without looking at the screen.

What About Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. Shakebee cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your email address is.

Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. Shakebee uses Google Analytics to better understand who is using the Service, and how people are using it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect and store anonymous information such as time of visit, pages visited, time spent on each page of the website, IP address, and type of operating system used. We use this information to improve the Service and make it appealing to as many users as possible.  

Is Personal Information About Me Secure?

Your shakebee account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately, and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

Shakebee endeavors to safeguard user information to ensure that user account information is kept private. However, shakebee cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
The Service may contain links to other sites. Shakebee is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site, you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Service.

International Users

If you are located outside of the United States, please note that this site is hosted on our computer servers in the United States. Therefore, your information may be processed and stored in the United States. As a result, United States federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through laws applicable in the United States. Your use of this site or the Service or your submission of any Personal Information to us will constitute your consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of your home country, including the United States, which may provide for different data protection rules than in your country.

What Personal Information Can I Access?

Shakebee allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information and ensuring that it is accurate and complete. You can access this information on the shakebee website by visiting the user settings page (except usage information, which can be accessed in the "History" tab). This list will change as our Service changes.

• Phone number
• Other User profile information (for example, home city, photo)
• Usage information (statistics about clicks on different buttons)

How Do I Delete My Account?

Should you ever decide to delete your shakebee account, you may contact us on contact@shakebee.me and we will remove it.

How Is Information Removed From My Account?

Even after you remove information from your account or profile, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere, to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users. Removed and deleted information may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days prior to being deleted from our servers.

Will There Be Changes To This Privacy Policy?

Shakebee may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make material changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Service or sending you an email. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when they use the Service after such changes have been first posted.
